Fuxing Spring
Monterey ParkIf you're looking for value, Fuxing Spring in Monterey Park is tough to beat. Their lunch specials run from 10 am to 5 pm and come with soup, hot tea, and huge portions, all for around $13. We got the curry beef rice plate and had leftovers for dinner. The claypot rice takes 25 minutes, but the crispy bottom layer is totally worth the wait.
Five Five Noodles
ArcadiaFive Five Noodles in Arcadia is a small spot with a big menu. We tried their salted-fish and peanut congee, it's cozy, fragrant, and comforting. The wonton soup is also solid. Don't skip the house chili oil if you enjoy spicy food, it's packed with peppercorns and has a real kick. If you're craving something warm, this spot hits the mark.
Kang Kang Food Court
AlhambraKang Kang Food Court is the kind of place you go to when you want something affordable, filling, and packed with flavor. Their sheng jian bao are crispy on the bottom, juicy on the inside, and honestly one of the most satisfying bites you can get in SGV. It’s casual, fast-paced, and the type of spot you’ll want to bring people to just to watch their reaction after the first bite.
