Eat in SGV StaffCoconut-forward curry broth with egg noodles, shrimp, fish cake, fried tofu, marinated egg, corn, and bean sprouts. Mildly spicy, comforting, and the strongest all-in-one order from the visit.
Eat in SGV StaffFried Indonesian fish cake with a crisp exterior and dense, mochi-like chew. The sweet, sour, garlicky sauce brings mild heat, while diced cucumber cools it down. A strong shareable starter.
Eat in SGV StaffFlat rice noodles wok-fried with char siu, shrimp, fish cake, fish ball, egg, and vegetables. The sweet soy sauce makes it feel familiar like chow fun while giving it a distinct Indonesian-style finish.
Eat in SGV StaffBeef rendang with fried tofu, curry egg, spicy peanut anchovy, and curry-covered rice. The rice and sauce were the strongest parts of our plate. The beef was flavorful but dense and jerky-like rather than fall-apart tender.
Eat in SGV StaffIced Bornean-style milk tea with grass jelly. Smooth, creamy, noticeably sweet, and especially good alongside the spicy dishes.

"For a first visit, start with the Singapore Laksa and Pempek. The laksa is the best all-in-one bowl, with coconut curry broth, egg noodles, shrimp, fish cake, tofu, egg, corn, and bean sprouts. The pempek is the dark-horse order: crisp outside, dense and chewy inside, with a sweet, sour, garlicky sauce. Add the Borneo Style flat rice noodles if you are sharing."
