AlhambraA newer Alhambra location of Baja Mar Taco, tucked into the Valley-Fremont Plaza on West Valley Boulevard, running a different $1.99 taco special every weekday: shrimp on Monday, asada or pastor or chicken on Tuesday, fish on Wednesday, and an $8.25 burrito with a drink on Thursday. Portions run large for the price, every order comes with a whole roasted yellow chile pepper, and the register is set up as a no-tipping counter. Food comes out fast and, for now, there is no line.
