San GabrielIf you love skewers, Meet You BBQ in San Gabriel is a spot to try. The skewers are affordable and packed with flavor, but the real standout is the clams with glass noodles. The noodles soak up a spicy, garlicky sauce that's so good we almost ordered seconds. Perfect for groups and late-night eats.
TAWA Gateway
San GabrielTAWA Gateway is the big plaza at Valley Blvd and Del Mar in San Gabriel, the former Focus Plaza and San Gabriel Square, anchored by the 99 Ranch Market that has been there since 1990. It's in the middle of a makeover: the owners finished the first phase in June 2026, with 14 new food, entertainment, and shopping tenants opening through early 2027, plus new landscaping and upgraded outdoor areas still to come. The new food is the reason to go now. Bingz Crispy 'Wich opened its first US location here, Happy Lamb Hot Pot moved into the old Little Sheep space, and Bafang Dumpling and a remodeled Dong Ting Chun have opened this year, alongside new tea shops like Guiji Tea.
